With sword and shield hung over his bed, Julio put Granma’s book on the night table, and turned out the light. He was off to Timbuktu and Trinidad, traveling in his sleep through thick, sryupy honey, dreaming of food cooked by cranes and penguins, and polka-dot frogs in his pocket.

He couldn’t wait til next summer at Granma’s house.
