Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

And what a day it was!

Thought to be crazy,

Christopher Columbus

Thought the world was round.

He sailed West

To find the East

For riches to be found.

Now he is famous

For while he was lost

An island he did find.

He claimed it for the

Queen of Spain.

Even though it wasn't

The land he had in mind.
